As viewed from the High Line, a 1930 sky bridge connects the former Nabisco Bakery at left to a building across 15th Street that served as company offices. The bridge brings historic resonance, spatial drama and poetry to the street. With Tribeca’s much photographed Staple Street footbridge, it’s one of only a few contemporary examples in New York. An incidental but significant part of the High Line’s appeal, the bridge is unprotected by City landmark status. [architakes.com]
